Yap Eng, Klang.

Made a decision to go for Bak Kut Teh in Klang for breakfast with the family. Had to be the place where they have th ebst dry BKT there. Since I was introduced to this placed 1 year back i been frequenting this place every few months or so. My definate favourite is the dry chilly BKT. It has cuttlefish in it and ladies finger.
As usual the place is crowded when I am there. Today is no exception. This place must be really good as it is in an unknown place in Klang (near kampung Jawa). Today's breakfast was the highlight of the day!!!

Weng Kee Rawang.

Was at my in laws place a few days ago to take Karen and Isabel home. Was told that this place has one of the better wantan mees in Rawang. was there in the late morning. there not many people left in that place. I heard it can be packed early in the morning. I ordered my normal course wantan mee with dry curry. I must say it doesn't give the bad after taste of preservatives after eating it unlike some wantan noodles available. I guess the preservatives in this place was less. Not too bad but it the place doesn't leave me with a lasting impression to return again.

Xin ZhiZun.

Was at rawang today to visit the in-laws. I was told that there was this restaurant in town that was in the paper. Suppose to be good and cheap. So the whole family decided to go there for dinner. It was a typical chinese restaurant. Boy! There was lots of people when we got there. had to wait about an hour for our orders to come. The wait was well worth it. I found everything we order was nice. My personal favourite was the 'shang Ha' noodles. It came four halves of large prawns. It was a surprise. The other which was recommended was the steam 'la la'. I not a big fan of 'la la' but was tasty. I had four or five helpings myself at it.
The final bill was also a shocker for me, it all came to RM150 for all the dishes ordered. This is because a few days agoI had much less in a place in Subang Jaya and it cost me the same price. I left the place happy and will be back there again when the next time in Rawang.

Steamboat.

Was at the Subang Jaya pasar malam, had the FatMan Steamboat. This is one of those street vendor food that seem to have made a come back in recent years. Probably due to the demand for light finger food in the middle of the night by the public, the business had florish all around the city. It seems every street corner where a vehicle can be parked, there is a mobile steamboat available. Hygeine is always a suspect but I think if you boil the food long enough it will kill all the bacteria! The prices in my opinion are not that cheap, maybe this is due to inflation.
Anyway, its a convienient of have hot and light finger food at your neighbourhood.

Don Sushi.

Was at Carrefour this evening for some Sushi. Drop by the only Sushi place there. The choices of sushi available was definately more than Sushi King. I liked the presentation of some of the sushi available at the carosel for viewing. However I went home dissapointed there were not much of a variety in the ala carte menu. Nothing to my liking. So my wife, mum and I had a few plates of sushi and left.

Aces and Spades.

Had an outing tonight at USJ 9 for dinner with family. Went to Aces and Spades. Ordered normal fare. Portions was fairly ok. The "ham yee far lam" was dissapointing for me. But the rest was ok. I go there quite often and until today I must say you must know what to order because some of the dishes were not too good. Next time I shall bring someone who knows what is good at this place.
Baby Isabel slept thru the whole meal. Papa and Mama could enjoy thier meals without any interuptions. He He He!!!

KTZ.

Had lunch or I should call it a snack at KTZ SS2 this afternoon. Didn't know where to eat as there were too many choices of eateries in SS2. Ordered the red bean "loh" and something called "seow kow". I didn't know what "seow Kow" meant so I ordered it out of curiousity. it turned to be something like an stuffed mince ait egg yoke formed into the shape of an egg. Was tasty. The red bean "loh" was ok too. Been here many times and so far my favourite is the mango "loh". The grated ice is so refreshing on a hot afternoon like today's (even though it rained later).

Fatty Crab.

Had not gone out for a nice dinner with the wife since Isabel was born so made arrangements with some friends to have dinner at South Pasific last night. Unfortunately it was close. What!!!! Close on a saturday night. They must be celebrating something. Decided to go to Fatty Crab at Taman Megah. I have not been there for the last 10 years. Ironically it was with the similar friends that I was there 10 years ago. I wondered why I took so long to go back there again? But I had a reminder when I ordered the food. They only have fix set of cooked crabs, fish and prawns. They have nothing else if you want some other variety of cooking. To me that "take it of leave it". Now I remember why I not gone back for such a long time and probably will not go there again for some time more.
The place has not changed much. The food was a dissapointment for me. I tasted better. Maybe people go there because of the price. We had some crabs, fish and prawns. Nothing fancy. Night ended early because we had to rush home to see to Isabel.

Uncle Bob's Fried Chicken.

No been updating this blog for a week now. Been very busy at work and assignments. Didn't get the time to go anywhere. Was at the SS2 pasar malam today with wifey and decide to buy one of the Uncle Bob's fried chicken. This is the one very similar to the one I had in sher Ling night market in Taipei. Bring back some memories.
Was a bit thirsty after that so stopped by the ice stall for some mix fruit loh. Was filled with coconut milk, not too good for the heart. Not good for the heart but good for the soul.
